My customer left without paying their tab

Not a problem! You can close out the customer's check manually using their stored (encrypted) payment information on the check on your Aloha POS system:

  1. Open the check and go to the Pay screen.
    Select the payment (it's a stored credit card pre-authorized for $1) and select "Increase Payment Preauthorization" (sometimes this button is labeled "Increase Auth").
  2. Press "Close Out Auth," then close the check.
  3. Adjust the tip per your location's policy (usually 20%).
  4. That's it! The payment and your tip will be on your checkout at the end of your shift.
